It's about time I blogged. But just be forewarned: I have absolutely nothing of relevance or hilarity to say. My mind is as blank as paper. You know, before you draw on it.

OH, okay. First I wanna say SELAMAT HARI RAYA to everyone, regardless of race & religion. Cos it's still a public holiday for everyone. SO ANYWAYS, i know you guys might be wondering, "what the hell is this goondu doing not celebrating Hari Raya?" Well so happens that I don't go out the first day of raya, but i AM going to the Hype Up concert tonight. Taufik gave me a free VVIP ticket!!! OOOH the joy! *lontongs & serunding in the air*

Ketupats aside, I accidentally ran Ad-Aware just now and it registered 114 adwares! How is that possible? I never did enter any websites that usually have the highest number of these shits. Don't tell me even respectable companies use those sneaky little things. Simply terrible, no wonder I keep getting stupid pop-up ads when I have 3 ad blockers running, because the ads, themselves, are stored in my PC, not spawned from the webpage. Internet advertising is the most perverse thing ever. Does anyone actually care about an ad telling you to shoot ducks and collect a prize? How crappy. It doesn't work and yet the number of ads keeps growing. Bleah.

And IE is REALLY REALLY annoying me. Everytime I open a link in a new window, the new window is like WAY too small. So I keep resizing it, because I like the window to take up my whole screen.. but then, everytime I go to open a link, it pops up in that same damn small ass size. *stabs*

I realised this because my money seems to be channeled mostly into buying food I stuff myself with. So, I am literally feeding myself with money. It goes into my stomach, through the mess of my intestines, in to the rectum and out of the anus. Hence, we are all shitting dollar bills!

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could use shit as a currency? If we could walk into a shop, plop half a pound of shit on the counter and say "I'll have half a pound of potatoes, please!?" There are always debates over a "universal currency". Well, shut up, all of you. SHIT is the ultimate universal currency. Everyone has it. Unless you're one of the sad constipated people.

HELLOOO, fellow Earth specimens! Hi, my name is Shafik, and I'm feeling really random today! *HI SHAFIK!*

This is gonna be my first ever REAL post in this class blog. Okay, I know it's kinda really really late for an introduction, but here I go!

My full name's Muhammad Shafik Bin Basir. I'm 18 this year, my birthday's on 28th March. I'm a many colours person, and I like blue, black, white, green & red. I love cats, and I wish to have one as a pet one day, but my mum would slap me, causing me to promptly pass out into a coma. The reason why I'm more experienced in life than all of you by one year, is cos i retook my math. Yeah, i took private math cos i failed math. BUT i got good grades for the other subjects hor! I've taken a few jobs the past few years - Toys r Us, Seoul Garden, Breeks, McCafe, and also as a freelance designer. Im currently working at McCafe East Coast Park. So.. try not to visit me at work, or I'll splash Latte on your face. I have permanent cravings for Ice Longan, Nutella & Twiggies, my Mother Tongue is horrendous, and my pinky toe twitches non-stop every midnight. Ok, now for my random talk.

Oh! I happened to switch on VH1 Smash Hits a few days back. Well, they have these SMS messages scrolling along the bottom of the TV screen.

One of them read: "I love Sun Yan Zi! She made in Taiwan, now she made in Singapore. She is big and good!."

At which point, I fell off the sofa laughing my ass off. It wasn't the hideous English which made me laugh (like, made WHAT in Taiwan?), that was just pathetic. It was the total irony of her being "big and good". I don't see anything on Sun Yan Zi that's remotely big!! All I see are two pimples on her chest. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

CCF EVENT!

sabrina here. as many of you would know by now, i'm planning a fundraising party in aid of the children cancer foundation (ccf). nitha will be my co-organiser in this.

the plan here is to have a huge clubbing party at, hopefully, ministry of sound, in december, during our term break. all profits will go to the foundation. learn more about the ccf at ccf.org.sg

i've already gotten my exec commitee up, so what i really need now is for people to help out with the event, either pre production, at the event itself, or post production. if you are willing to help in ANY way at all, email me (flyyer_@hotmail.com) or msg me your name and the areas you think you can contribute the most (eg: ticketing, promotions, etc). or just if you want to help - nitha and i will assign positions and/or duties to you. also let me know if you know of people/organisations who can help. i need at least ten people. at the very least.

please do not spread the word about this event around yet, because alot of the details are still in plan. i just need to know who can and will be in my sub-commitee.

this is a very good cause we're working towards, and i would appreciate any help you can put into it. but do remember that this is a big event and i need people who can help out from around aug to dec. the workload would not be too heavy and even if you don't want to help out directly, please spread the word out and around once everything's settled.

I have also been inspired to hone my graphic design skills and fully used the remaining 27 days of my illustrator.

So, I hope this will be a commonplace for all T105-ers. I don't think there ought to be limits to what we can or cannot write, but try not to step on any toes. We are going to be a family for the next three years. A big, weird, mis-matched, loving family. And I couldn't have asked for a nicer class.

It's on 17th June, 8pm to late, and pre-sale tickets are going for $18. It's underaged so we all can go. Eh, IT CAN BE OUR CLASS OUTING ahahaha. I think I already text messaged some of you regarding the party. Forward it to all your friends. Share the love, spread the joy, people!

But if you all don't have anything on that night, and you think you need a break between medisoc and marketing tests, do come. Message me for ticket details ok. There will be amazing bands playing (I'm saying this because my friend's band is in the line up so a bit bias hor), and I heard that tentatively Ronin'd be there so...party on!

ok yes, don't stress, haha. i'm too busy slacking. going to dieeeee. got so much work to do.

so while my mum's busy with midnight shopping and bringing my bro for movies, while my dad just tags along to foot the bill and carry stuff, i'm stuck at home designing logos. (actually i've discarded all my designs. cos i couldn't think of nice ones. basically, i haven't even started on it yet.) SADDDD.

lets just stress this week and the next, finish up all our work, sleep less, work harder, then it's the holidays! though it doesnt seem like holidays. tests on 19 and 21 huh.
